Bio – Robert L. Murphy

Robert L. Murphy is the owner and operator of RLM Group, LTD., a recognized leader in global packaging and cross-cultural supply chain facilitation to the cosmetic and personal care industries.

With more than 35 years of cosmetic packaging experience, Mr. Murphy has worked extensively with manufacturing facilities located throughout Asia, Europe, South America and the United States. As a recognized leader in cross-cultural supply chain management, Bob excels at helping both U.S.-based purchasers and offshore global suppliers navigate the multiple complexities of cultural differences; thereby ensuring seamless and successful partnerships.

Mr. Murphy has earned the reputation of being a highly skilled independent sales agent for cosmetic packaging manufacturers based in the United States, Asia, and Europe, and a respected consultant in the areas of sales and marketing. His customers have included many of the world’s leading cosmetic and personal care companies.

Mr. Murphy also owned and operated RLM Decorating, Inc. located in Long Island City, New York. RLM Decorating specialized in hot stamping and silk screening of plastic package components. The company employed a large workforce of machine operators, inspectors, packers, and customer service agents at its 15,000 square foot factory. During his tenure, Mr. Murphy developed key customer service protocols and was the driving force behind the significant fiscal success of this venture.

Prior to starting his own companies, Bob served as a sales representative at Arkay Packaging Corporation (1985 – 1989) and GAF/Anitec (1981 – 1985).

Mr. Murphy holds a BS in Printing Management from the Rochester Institute for Technology (class of 1981). He also attended Marquette University’s College of Business Administration for two years.
